| oink, oink…waaah! |
this morning, my barkada texted me: “Hello! Nag-email s kin c C*****, she said she heard preggy ka daw! Tama ba yan, I am d last 2 knw!?”
eh kakausap lang namin nitong barkada kong ito OTP last week, kaya siguro nagtataka sya kung bakit di ko nabanggit na i’m preggy. at di pa sya nakuntento sa text, bigla pa syang tawag dito sa office, hahaha!
funny kasi the one who was asking her was a friend and a block mate who is now in Ohio. o di ba, ang layo ng inabot ng tsismis. at pinapatanong ko nga kung kanino nya ‘nadinig’ eh.
oh well, kahit kanino pa nagmula iyon, it only means 1 thing! that i look pregnant! WAAAH! sabi ko nga sa friend ko, i just look like one but i’m not!!! =(
kasalanan ko ba kung nakikisabay ako sa Chinese Year of the oink oink, hehe.
pero honestly, i hate myself now!!! i’m just 20 pounds shy of my pregnancy weight, imagine that! ewan ko ba, ang sarap kasing kumain ni hubby eh, kaya nahahawa ako. and got no time talaga to exercise now, kasi pagdating sa house, nakakabit na agad si lil’ boy sa katawan ko. and also, i realized na it’s SOOO hard to lose weight after you’ve given birth already, siguro it’s with the structure and metabolism. hahaha, excuses, excuses, excuses!
ok, ok, ok, i’m writing it here and i’m committing it to this blog and all of you reading this…i’ve FINALLY decided to start losing weight. since when? just today. hehe.. isasabay ko na sa fasting and abstinence ko starting today, Ash Wednesday and the whole Lenten Season. =) so help me God!
notice my new ticker? yeah, you’ve read it right! 30 pounds man!!!
at may “disclaimer” na this early ha, notice the breastfeeding mom icon sa ticker? please remember that i’m still breastfeeding my 22-month old lil’ boy so i can’t diet big time. still need to eat for him. so if after a few weeks and you don’t see my ticker moving, blame it on my boy. =)

| change venue |
after hearing mass, eating lunch and doing some window shopping at the mall, i asked hubby to check the other pool venue in Vista Valley. as i’ve blogged earlier, there are 3 venues in the village, but we’ve only checked 2 because the last was closed that time. i was quite settled with the 1st venue, because as i’ve mentioned, the “picnic” atmosphere is present, with all the cabanas, the bamboo tables, the playground, the pool shade and rain shower. but with an increasing number of guests, i’m having second thoughts because the place is quite small. it would be perfect for “family and close friends only” gathering, but for a 100pax guest list and growing, it’ll too crowded.
so i’ve decided to check the last venue. when we went there, a party was going on but they still let us in. it was nice of them to allow us to check the place even if they were eating and all. and same comments we got from them too. the 1st venue is too small, the 2nd venue is too beautiful but expensive. and this 3rd venue is just the right size and price. =) it’s more expensive than the 1st, but the place is bigger, and the pool is bigger too. there is already a small open house with an aircon bedroom, rest rooms and kitchen with ref. i think this will fit more the simple party i have in mind. although i still want the cabanas, playground, pool shade and rain shower of the 1st, waaah! can we transfer it here? =)
we’ve already made reservations, and we’ll just go back next Saturday to check everything, w/o an ongoing party and all.
i guess this is the one! =) because the moment i saw it, it gets me more excited to plan for lil’ boy’s 2nd bday. not that i’m not excited, ako pa! it’s just that i feel that i finally found the perfect place for a fun swimming party, and now i can formally start the party works and all!

| Valentine weekend @ Fun Ranch |
we first went to The Picture Company in Podium for our scheduled photo shoot at 1pm. we’ll be using this for lil’ boy’s 2nd bday invites. i’ll post the pictures soon.
after that, hubby bought a new iPOd, 1G this time.
side kwento, nanakaw yung MP4 (512mb) na gift ko sa kanya nung birthday nya last year. funny because it lasted EXACTLY 1 year. i gave it to him feb 10, and nawala din sa office nila on feb 10, saturday, while we were in LaLuz. iniwan daw nya sa drawer nya sa office. ang kaso, may nag-shoot daw sa studio and their office was opened to the models and assistants. pagpasok nya nung Monday, his drawer was forced open at wala na ang MP4. hay! ang mahal pa naman ng bili ko dun, kainis ha!
back to the kwento, then ate at Fuzion at nag-shopping sa Baby Company and Toy Kingdom (excuse ang shopping kasi for lil’ boy naman eh =)
around 4pm, we went to check Fun Ranch in Tiendesitas. we had a meeting kasi with Mylene of The Big Red Barn, so might as well enjoy the whole place. madami pa din ang hindi pa open na mga shops, but the major ones are up and running already, like The Big Red Barn resto and the Active Fun.
when we were there, Red Barn had 2 parties on both floors. comment ko lang, medyo naguguluhan lang ako sa party nila. medyo masikip na kasi yung place tsaka maingay. owel, siguro kasi it was a Saturday at medyo in demand sila ngayon kaya ang daming tao. Bobi, my host, was even hosting the party at the 2nd floor. we’re supposed to eat there pero umayaw na si hubby kasi nga ang ingay eh, and way too crowded ang dining place nila.
also, were supposed to play ni lil’ boy sa Active Fun, pero too crowded din. maybe next time, we’ll try to schedule a weekday gimik there. =)
we just ended up playing sa arcade sa 2nd floor. and super enjoy na din si lil’ boy kasi may basketball eh.
 
then a carousel ride,
and just took pictures after.
overall, the place is cool and fun especially for kids. just try to go there on weekdays.
after that, went to IL’s house because SIL’s family were there too. we just had dinner w/ hubby’s complete family. and lil’ boy played with his cousins the whole night. =) |

| valentine w/ friends |
Bodj treated me to a valentine lunch date at Heaven and Eggs in Glorietta last 02/14. kinuha nya kasi yung cd ng mga pics namin sa LaLuz kaya we celebrated V-day na din together, hehe, sayang ang free lunch. =)
then on the 15th, Jing naman went to Makati for an OB. so we had lunch at French Baker in Glorietta again. then she decided not to go back to her office anymore, kaya naglibot na lang sya sa Glorietta then stayed at my office after. we had a Valentine dinner treat din kasi after eh.
so past 6pm, we're on our way to Gateway and met Bodj at Cibo.
we had a sumptous dinner, overflowing pasta, pizza and chips! my favorite! =)

as usual, we had fun. magkakasama lang kami sa LaLuz the weekend before that ha. hay, walang kasawa-sawa. haha.

| Happy Valentines! |
i just bought chocolates at SM Makati yesterday for Valentines. and i also bought a stuff toy for lil' boy, i chose the pig because it's year of the pig eh, oink, oink! then i just wrapped it all up at home.

this is our fave chocolate so hubby loves it. we didn't plan for a date on the exact valentine's day (like we used to when we were just bf/gf), ayaw na namin makisabay sa crowd eh. so we sched it on the weekend na lang, with lil' boy of course. besides, he has a gig on V-day, haha, senti! =)
as early as 6am, hubby woke me up with this sweet 2-doz white roses. aaaw, so romantic! =)

| Birthday @ La Luz |
we celebrated hubby’s birthday last Feb 10-11 at La Luz in Batangas with our 2 best friends, Jing & Bodj. and boy, it was rrreallyyy FUN! =)
hubby, lil boy and me left the house around 530am. basta mga gimikan kasi, laging early kami ni hubby, excited kasi, hehe. we fetched Jing and Bodj by 6am. around 7am, we were already having breakfast at Pancake House, Petron Stn, SLEX.
 
the resort was quite far, more than 3 hours from Manila. and the last 4km was rough road, so medyo kawawa ang bagong tires ng van namin, hay! it was a long ride, buti na lang we’re at the company of wacky friends, kaya it wasn’t boring at all. pati yung instruction guide eh naging katatawanan sa amin.
we arrived at La Luz past 10am. we first stayed sa cabanas while waiting for our room check-in time of 1pm.
   
and here is my lil boy with the new basketball i bought. hanggang sa tubig ay basketball pa din ang type nya.
we were allowed to check-in earlier, around 1130am. ang kaso, when i entered the room, wala pa dun yung surprise balloons ko for hubby. i made an arrangement kasi with them to put blue balloons in our room, para pag pasok ni hubby, ma-surprise sya. kaya lang, ako ang na-surprise kasi nga empty ang room, hay. nasa Bayan pa daw kasi yung balloons. kasi daw nag-early check-in kami kaya di pa nailagay. hello, sila kaya nagsabi na mag-check in na kami. anyway, ok lang, atleast we’ve already settled in our room na.
then buffet lunch at 12nn. the food was ok, lutong bahay with 4 viands, juice and dessert.
after lunch, nauna na sa verandah si hubby with lil’ boy and Bodj. i instructed him to take pictures of my surprise. then i got the cake na tinago ko kay hubby mula sa bahay namin. and Jing got the balloons also from their office.
 
then surprised hubby na with a Happy Birthday song, complete with the cake and balloons. he was so surprised and happy. =)
 
we ate the chocolate cake after, it was so yummy. kaya lang medyo matapang yung icing kaya we all turned ‘blue’.
 
mukhnag papel de hapon daw ang ginamit na pang-sulat dun kaya ang tindi ng color, haha.
then went out and had fun in the sun. we stayed sa mga umbrellas sa beachfront. and we had the life we wanted. oh, “this is life” talaga kami dun while resting, playing, eating chips, drinking shakes, swimming, laughing, having fun and taking tons of pictures like these:

in no time, it was merienda buffet again by 4pm. sarap talaga, buhay baboy na naman. =)
after eating, nagpa-massage kami for an hour while lil’ boy was playing beside us. buti nga hindi na sya umiiyak now eh, not like sa Bora before, ayaw nya na i-massage kami kasi akala nya siguro sinasaktan kami, hehe.
then at 7pm, dinner time na naman.
after that, may bonfire kaya we stayed out for awhile.
 
then back to our room and chika and tawanan forever. then we gave na our gift to Bodj, birthday din kasi nya last 01/31 eh.
after that, their gift to hubby naman.
ang gwagwapo nila sa mga new shirts nila. =)
then lil’ boy’s gift to his Papa and my gift to hubby too. i gave hubby a Nike gray polo shirt. lil' boy has exactly the same shirt. so when i saw it, binili ko na agad kay hubby para terno silang dalawa.
 
huli kong pinabuksan yung gift ni lil’ boy because that’s the best gift eh.
 
it’s a collection of their pictures from the day lil’ boy was born. it was so cute and hubby got a little emotional while looking at the pics. with matching background music pa ako na “it’s not time to make a change, just relax, take it easy”. kaso ako ang kumakanta kaya naging comedy. hahaha.
after eating midnight snacks and kwentuhan, we finally slept around 12mn. then woke up at 730am for breakfast.
02/11, ate buffet breakfast, then swimming agad. ok sana ang LaLuz kaya lang mabato ang beach nya. as in literal na bato ang aapakan mo sa beach, instead of sand. it’s really bundok kasi na ginawa nilang resort. so they just transported the sand para maging beach ang dating. but then, when you go in the beach water na, mabato pa talaga. so you need to wear your aqua shoes to enjoy. kasi kami, super bagal namin sa paglalakad kasi takot kaming madapa at magasgasan ng rocks, lalo na di pa masyadong kita kasi nga nasa tubig ka na. one thing more, you can’t swim freely kasi baka mauntog ka sa mga bato. so we didn’t enjoy the beach as much as we wanted to. pero ok na lang din, kasi enjoy naman kami sa tawanan eh. at pagtawanan yung mga nasa paligid namin, haha. 'bitch' nga eh! =)
around 1030 am, we’re preparing na for check-out. but we still had our additional buffet lunch before we finally left the resort around 1pm.
pagdating sa Lipa, stop-over kami agad sa ChowKing para mag-halo halo as dessert, hehe. aliw pa kasi nakita pa namin yung 3 groups na galing din sa La Luz eating there also.
super busog kami, kaya pagsakay sa van, tulog lahat. except for hubby who was driving, wawa naman. i tried to drive, kaya lang, ilang minutes pa lang eh umiyak na si lil’ boy, gusto na nya ulit sa akin at si Papa na daw ang mag-drive, kaya ayun, no choice si hubby. =(
diretso kaming lahat sa Proj. 4 to hear Sunday mass at 5pm. after that, hinatid na sila and uwe na din kami. it was tiring, but ALL fun!
overall, La Luz is okay. the facilities, ambience, food and service are all great. we just love the umbrellas, the relaxing atmosphere and the privacy. we just don’t like the beach, although maganda sa background yung mga bato-bato dun, hehe. but definitely, we had fun. it was all worth it. and the best kasi ang mga kasama namin kaya talagang it was a Blast! =)

| 2nd bday party planning... |
has officially started! =)
last saturday (02/03), we checked 5 different pool venues within our area. we settled to have a swimming birthday party. i guess it's perfect for the summer season, and most of the kids (especially lil' boy and his cousins) just love swimming.
we've visited bahay san jose
and plaza del sol in concepcion, marikina.
then we went to vista valley and found out that there are 3 pool venues in the village.
this is so nice but overly pricey for a 2nd birthday:
funny because we didn't have pictures of the venue we chose. there was a party going on when we checked the venue, so i just can't take pictures that time. but it's a cool place, complete with "kubo", chairs & tables made of kawayan (just like the usual picnic cabanas), mini playground (swings & slide), lots of trees around and the pool has a shade and rain shower. just perfect for the simple party that we want to have this time.
i guess i won't be posting pictures of the place anymore so it will be a surprise to everyone, mwehehe.
and as i've said in my previous post, theme will be BARNEY! it's the current favorite of lil' boy. so now, i'm starting to collect Barney items on my lunch trips to the malls. but can't find that much. =(
anyway, back to our saturday event. after my 2nd meeting with Eileen at McDo again, went home and waited for the delivery of the tarpaulins. then we delivered the tarps to Filinvest and went to Eastwood to get the pictures of Bea's party from Kay, the photographer. and since we were in Eastwood, that would simply spell
s-h-o-p-p-i-n-g! we shopped as our "sweldo" from all our rackets recently. kaya ayun, wala na namang natira. hahaha. i just (intentionally) forgot my new year's resolution of pagtitipid! oh my! =) we stayed there until late at night and just had fun while Hopia, Mani, Popcorn was being launched. |

the myLot community is growing! =)
i've been a member of this for 2 weeks now. but i seldom post because i didn't have a lot of "friends" yet, so i didn't really see the potential in earning much.
but since a lot of my egroup friends have signed up now, i'm seriously taking it into consideration again, mwehehe.
