| Storyland, SM Fairview |
an overdue blog...
last july 16, sunday, we decorated Gingerbread House in Storyland, Sm Fairview for the 7th birthday of Lyssa, my inaanak and daughter of my close friend Che.
 
beforehand, i was already warned by hubby na strict ang SM sa mga permits and pagpasok ng mga balloons and other decors. but then, di ko naman matanggihan ang aking kumare, kaya we took the risk. kahit na free labor pa ito, hehe.
the party was at 1pm, but we were already at SM Fairview (yes, and we live in Marikina!) before it opened at 10am. dumaan kami sa likod kasabay ng mga delivery boys, hehe. we had to set-up by ourselves kasi simple lang naman ang decor eh, tsaka we had to stay pa for the party kaya di na kami nagsama ng assistant. we just had our yaya to take care of lil' boy while we're busy.
so we had to carry all the 6 standees and 2 6ft towers all the way up to the 3rd floor. delivery elevator kami up to 2nd floor, then walk all the way to the escalator to the 3rd floor, then walk again to Gingerbread House. after that, i got the balloon permit from their office. then, baba ulit kami ni hubby, iniwan na namin si yaya at lil' boy sa taas while enjoying the carnival scenes at Storyland. ang problema, we weren't allowed to ride the elevator pababa kasi daw wala naman kaming dala eh. haller!!! so, mega walk down the stairs kami, kainis! we did this thrice, kasi medyo madami din pala yung balloons at decors. kapagod talaga!
pagdating dun, tinabi muna namin sa side lahat ng decors namin kasi there was still a 1015-1215 party ongoing.
so play muna kami dun w/ lil boy and had merienda. after the party, super rush set-up kami coz/ we only had 45mins left. but everything turned out fine naman.
Gingerbread House is really nice, in and out. maganda yung looks ng house sa labas,
 
at pagdating sa loob, may mga painted decors na din sa walls and a Happy Birthday backdrop.
 
we just enhanced a lil' bit para magmukhang castle sa labas with all the Disney Princesses all around. gusto ko na ngang maningil ng photo fee sa labas kasi ang daming mga nagpapa-picture dun sa mga standees ko eh, hehe.
 
the venue rate is inclusive of Ride-All-You-Can tickets to kids, balloons on stick, host and mascots. the host was also good, but not that professional, of course. but she was able to manage the pary well and the games too.
the food was yummy because it was from Chef d' Angelo, one of their accredited caterers.
my lil' boy had a great time too, with all the balloons and kids all around.
and the kids enjoyed the games, pero syempre, they were all excited na matapos na ang party so they can enjoy all the rides. which we felt the same way too, hehe. nag-isip bata muna kami at sinamahan ang aming mga anak sa mga rides, what a valid excuse, hahaha!
 
time flies so fast talaga,,,naalala pa namin before nung college namin, kami pa lang ang sumasakay sa mga ganong rides before (naka-uniform pa yun minsan ha, hehe). bump car was our favorite, duon kasi namin nabubuhos lahat ng pinakatatagong galit namin sa mga kabarkada eh, mwehehe! but now, kami pa rin ang sumasakay but with our kids in tow na. next time, nagbabantay na lang kami while our kids are enjoying themselves. and next, next, next...while our grandchildren are having fun. nyahaha!
so enjoy it while it last! and that's exactly what we did HERE. |

| Bounce! |
at long last ay natuloy na din ang aming planong mag-bounce sa Bounce! =)
july 22, saturday. sinama namin ang aming nephew na si Miguel para may playmate naman si lil' boy. good thing na walang party at wala pang tao when we went there around 3pm. nasolo namin ang half party area.
first thing we did at Bounce was to bounce our hearts out sa kanilang giant bouncer. sobrang enjoy mag-isip bata, haha. pataasan kami ng talon ni hubby, while ang aming lil' boy ay nakaupo lang at pinapanuod kami. di pa kasi sya makapag-bounce kasi natutumba pa.
 
then, miguel enjoyed the giant slide, the tikes' slide and other inflatables available. pati si lil' boy, sobrang nag-enjoy kasi ang daming balls. at super love nya talaga ang basketball, kasi the whole time na nandun kami, puro pag-shoot/dunk lang ang ginawa nya. kapagod naman on our part kasi walang mababang goal, kaya naman laging binubuhat namin sya para ma-shoot nya sa ring, nyahaha.
 
we just played for an hour, ate merienda there and got their new party rates. however, hubby wasn't convinced to hold lil' boy's 2nd party there. hamo na, matagal na usapan at pilitan pa naman eh, hehe.
after that, we went to Sta Lucia to shop around and heard anticipated mass w/ my parents. ay, pinakalbo na pala ulit namin si lil' boy. i haven't taken a pic yet, na-lobat kasi camera ko eh. pero syempre, cutie pa rin sya kahit bokal, hehe. then, dahil kay lil' boy being a good boy and Miguel's request, we ate again at ... Jollibee. yeah right, mukhang mapupurga kami nito sa Jollibee ah, marunong na kasing mamili si lil' boy eh.
then nung sunday, we bought the bike of lil' boy. sa terrace nga lang sya nag-bike, kasi maulan pa sa labas. then, hinatid ko iyong 2 clowns namin for cheska ni cheryll's 2nd birthday sa marikina. glad they enjoyed the show. =) then hinatid na din namin si Miguel and visited my ILs.
after that, we were supposed to have coffee at Starbucks Marquinton, pero dahil super lakas ng ulan, nagkatamaran na kami ni hubby and just headed home.
and since sinuko na namin ang pangarap naming makapanuod ng Superman sa big screen, eh bumili na lang si hubby ng dibidi at pinanuod na lang namin sa aming flat screen at the comfort of our bedroom, while breastfeeding lil' boy and munching Holy Kettle popcorn on the side. =)
it was a rainy weekend, but truly a bonding moment again for the 3 of us. oh, i just love weekends! =) |

| Happy 12th Anniversary Uneven 7! |
today, July 20, is our actual anniversary day.
and as what i've blogged here, we celebrated it a lil earlier, last July 09, 2006.
unfortunately, ann wasn’t able to come because her grandmother died last friday, 7/7.
anyway, rain or shine, we pushed through because there’s no more available date if ever we postponed it.
me, hubby, che, willy, pinky, karen & bernard met at McDo at around 7am. ate breakfast, then off we went to SM Dasma to fetch denny & herbs at around 830am.
by 930am, we were already at Residence Inn para bisitahin ang aming mga kamag-anak. atleast, dumami na iyong mga animals dun, may mga snakes na at iba pa. ang kawawa naming mga asawa, naging mga photographers na lang, hehe. walang ginawa yung apat kundi kunan kami ng pictures.
 
 
around 1030am, we headed to RSM already, kasi tomguts na kami. buti na lang pala nauna kami dun, at kami pa lang ang tao. we got the best kubo in RSM, yung pinaka-dulo at pinaka-mahangin. pero syempre, picture-picture muna kami dun.
 
it was a nice place to relax and unwind. nakisama din ang panahon sa amin, walang ulan, super ginaw lang. it was also the time na nakapag-usap ang aming mga asawa para sa kanilang mga words for Pinoy Henyo. please take note that we told them to prepare “tangible” words about school (college).
so after eating Bulalo, Sisig and Inihaw na Baboy, it was time for dessert. pero over-budget na daw, kaya sabi namin, itaktak na lang ang utak ng bulalo, humingi ng libreng gatas at yelo, instant "utak con yelo" na, hahaha.
after sumakit ang batok ni bernardo dahil sa mga kinain namin, hahaha, ay tumuloy na kami sa Picnic Grove at 1pm.
so the game started…
1st game was Charade, anything about Miriam College.
Team A: me, denny, pinky, bernard & willy
Team B: karen, che, herbert & hubby
our words:
1. Relatibo – our law prof (nahulaan nila ito!)
2. Scanties – the brand name of our panty liner project (nahulaan din nila)

tie breaker na lang, so namili sa aming tatlo, kasi nga 5 kami sa group eh. so ang napili ay si denny.

sabay action na kumakain ng ice cream.
so sigaw ako! ICE CREAM!

tumpak, favorite flavor ng barkda iyon eh. at ang galing mo denny, 2 syllables nga ang 2nd word. hahaha.
so in short, we won, as expected! ganda ng prize namin, Bench towels.

side kwento: 2 nights before this event, i explained to hubby how Pinoy Henyo is played, hindi kasi sya nakakapanuod nito sa Eat Bulaga eh. anyway, so naglaro kami, pero wala nang paper, sa isip lang namin yung word namin. sabi ko anything na makikita dito sa loob ng bedroom namin.
so nauna sya. tanong ako:
me: english?; hubby: hindi
m: gamit?; h: aaah, hindi
m: hinde, eh puro gamit lang naman dito ah. pang-baby?; h: hindi
m: pang-matanda?; h: hindi
m: gumagalaw?; h: hindi
m: alikabok?!; h: OO
hahaha, ang henyo ko! at akalain mong maisip pa nya talaga yung alikabok noh, kainis. kaya ayun, level nga sa binigay nyang word na “Hekasi”! hahaha.
so ang score: 1.5 – 0! opkors, kami ang nanalo, mas henyo kami eh. actually, kahit na manalo sila eh pang-girl din ang prizes na binili ko, kaya sa amin din mapupunta, haha. na-anticipate ko lang talaga na mas henyo kami kaya kami ang sure winner. at hirit ng mga aswa namin, "syempre, pinagbigyan namin kayo, eh anibersaryo nyo eh!". haller, eh halos dumugo na mga ilong nyo sa kakaisip noh. hahaha.
our 3rd game was PINS. pagalingan sa pagkapa. may 5 pins ang aming mga asawa sa katawan nila. kami naman ay naka-blindfold at kakapain at kakalasin ang 5 pins.
syempre pa, ako ang champion sa kapaan, kaya i won again!
our 4th game was supposed to be “Longest Line”, kaya lang hindi nabigay ni ann yung mga prizes na nasa kanya eh, kaya wala na kaming pang-prize. sayang, kasi suot pa naman namin ang mga kahahabang belt at mga bagong garter ng underwear, hehe.
next was our Awards Night, or Awards Day, hehe.
we prepared an award for everybody and it was presented by our husbands. may kasama ding token na Hair Doctor & mirror, na sabi ng asawa ko ay courtesy of Hortaleza, haha.
it was one of the best anniversary celebrations we had! super enjoy kasi 1st time naming gumimik ng ganun kalayo na kaming barkada lang. and 1st time din na kasama naming nag-celebrate ang aming mga asawa. sobrang gulo, sobrang saya at sobrang sarap! =)
we finished before 4pm and reached home at 5pm. maaga kasi hinihintay na kami ng mga chikitings namin.
next gimik, buong pamilya na para mas masaya! kelan kaya ito? sa 24th anniversary na siguro, kung buo pa rin kami. hahaha!

i've got so much to blog, but can't find time.
our barkada anniversary get-away last week and the 7th bday of Lyssa which we decorated last sunday. need to find time, fast!
so ngayon, eto muna...
yesterday, i didn't go to the office because i was so tired the whole weekend, it didn't seem like weekend at all for us. so monday was bonding time with lil' boy. =)
we almost slept the whole day, haha. woke up at around 11am, ate our brunch, took a bath na may kasamang play-play habang kami ay naliligo. watched tv, while play-play again. then around 2pm, tulog na ulit sya. then i followed shortly, haha. woke up by 530pm, ate merienda. then at 630pm, nagpunta kaming dalawa sa Robinson's to meet hubby, dun na lang sya diretso pag uwe nya. we first played sa Toddlers & Keepers again for an hour, enjoy sya kasi konti lang ang kids hanggang sa mag-isa na lang sya dun, kaya nasolo nya yung buong play area. when hubby arrived at 730pm, we first went to the mall to look for lil' boys's bike, kaso wala kaming makitang magandang style eh. kaya si hubby na lang ang bumili ng shirt nya, as usual. =)
after that, the main event for lil' boy! JOLLIBEE! hehe. good boy kasi sya nung sunday sa party, kaya reward nya ang Jaby! =)
makita pa lang nya si Jollibee, sobrang happy na sya, sabay sayaw sya ng dance steps ni Jaby, pero ulo ang gumagalaw sa kanya, instead na yung pwet, hehe, so cute!
after eating, we went home na. then it was time to sleep (again!).
so eto na, ang haba ng pasakalye ko, haha.
while we're at the bed, laging nangangagat si lil' boy, kahit ilang beses ko nang pinagsabihan. titigil sandali, then kagatin ulit si papa nya. then ako naman habang dumedede, aaaw!
nung una, di na namin sya pinapansin, then pinagso-sorry ko sa amin. sabay ng kiss nya ay hampas naman sa mukha. hay! patience is a virtue talaga for my 15-month old!
so ang ginawa ko ay binuhat ko at nilagay ko dun sa kanyang corner for the 1st time!!!
nuon pa namin hinanda ni hubby yung corner na yun. sabi ko na dun namin ilalagay si lil' boy kapag nangulit. so eto na yun, we didn't expect it to be this early, hehe.
ang kaso, tumayo lang sya sandali dun. at natuwa pa kasi nandun nakadikit yung Pooh growth chart nya. maya-maya, lumakad pabalik sa bed namin na all smile! hay, ang hirap tiisin. =)
mukhang di effective ang aking 1st attempt. hamo na, for sure, there'll be a LOT more soon.

yesterday, friend of hubby who's working at ABS asked us to submit pictures of our lil' boy wearing "rainy" attire to be included in their magazine.
so pagdating ko sa house, mega pictorial kami sa terrace namin, hehe. kaya lang, wala syang kapote, bota at payong eh. kaya ito na lang sinuot nya:
 
 
konti lang ang matino nyang shots, kasi naman, gusto nang dumede. kaya halos mga kuha nya ay puro ganito:

| uneven 7 |
iyan ang pangalan ng barkada ko nung college. dati, "great 8" yan, kaya lang me natsugi na isa, kaya pito na lang kami. hinihintay pa namin kung kelan kami magiging "sexy 6", pero patigasan yata, walang gustong kumalas, matira matibay daw. hehe.
it will be 12 years since we became friends last July 20, 1994. it was our 2nd year in Miriam College. BSA Section 1, and we're proud of that. =)
ang magkasama talaga nuon ay ako, si Rhona at si Joy, kasi kami ay classmates nung 1st year, section Pink. sila Ann, Denny at Pinky naman ay Ecru. while si Karen at Che naman ay Violet .
so dahil highschool classmate ko si Denny, at highschool classmates din sila Pinky, Karen at Che, nagkasama-sama ang aming mga grupo.
pero siguro, mas malaking factor kung bakit kami nagkasundong lahat ay dahil pare-pareho kaming Nerdies, hahaha. joke lang, eto lang ang feeling namin, though hindi halata. actually, pare-pareho kami ng takbo ng utak. sabay naming napag-iisipang mag-cut ng class at manuod na lang ng sine, lalo na kung boring ang prof. pare-pareho din kami ng strategy sa pangongopya sa exams at assigments. pare-pareho din kaming nagtuturuan kapag may kailangnag mag-report/present sa klase. at pare-pareho din naming past time ang maglaro ng Pusoy Dos at Tong-Its during class, "Sali Ako!" =)
yan ang mga gawain namin na hanggang ngayon ay di namin mawari kung bakit nasa Section 1 pa din kami all throughout. siguro nga "nerdies" talaga kami, nyak! hahaha=)
anyway, it's been 12 years. sobrang tagal na panahon na at napaka-dami nang nangyari sa mga buhay-buhay namin. though wala na si Rhona coz' they migrated to the US before pa, the 6 of us here managed to stay together through thick and thin. we usually meet on our anniversary and during Christmas. pero ako, i get to meet some of them a lot in a year, inborn lakwatsera kasi ako. tsaka it helps na magkakalapit lang kami (except for 1), kaya madaling magkita.
this year, medyo napapadalas ang pagkikita namin. first was last 02/25 during our visit to Karen's daughter Bea.

next was last 05/06 during Bea's Christening. at dun sinabi ni Che na kung pwede daw namin i-celebrate ang aming 12th anniv ng mas maaga at kasama ang mga asawa. uuwe kasi ang husband nya from abroad, kaya gusto nyang isama para maiba naman daw ang aming celebration.
next get-together was last 5/27, Ann's 30th birthday, our 2nd eldest. nyak, ako na pala ang next! =(
