| next subject: SPELLING! |
this is what i want to teach my 3yo son now.
actually, we’ve started with spelling and reading already, just simple 3 letter-words. and i wanted to buy something that will help him ‘spell’ or ‘read’ even during his play time. para kahit di namin “school time” eh he’s still learning. sayang naman yung addiction nya sa alphabets if paulit-ulit lang sya sa pag-write ng A-Z. so he needs to go up one level.
last friday, i had my weekly “day-off”. but this time, i took lil boy with me and we went to SM Megamall. syempre pa, sa Toy Section kami nagpunta. and he saw this toy which i also loved, since it teaches spelling. pero the price was medyo stiff, kasi nga naman LeapFrog. so i asked for other similar toys, and the salesman showed me yung Pooh Spell ‘n Learn toy, na mas expensive pa dun sa Leapfrog. so i called hubby and asked if i’ll buy it. umayaw si hubby kasi medyo mahal daw, eh ang dami na nyang toys na ABC. and medyo malaki daw ang babayaran namin sa electricity dahil puro kami aircon, mwehehe. kaya next time na lang daw. hay! nalungkot naman ako. pero mas nalungkot ang anak ko when we left empty-handed.
pero ang tatay, di nakatiis. tumawag sa akin and asked if lil boy cried. what do you expect noh, addict sa ABC ang anak mo! so after office, he went to Toys R Us and he’ll buy na daw the Leapfrog, haha, di din natiis. told him wag na kasi better to buy it sa SM, kasi sayang ang points sa Advantage Card, hahaha.
so that Saturday, after my party set-up in Alexandra, they followed and we all went to Toy Kingdom. i compared the 2 toys and found the Pooh better kasi 4-letter words na yun eh, while yung isa ay 3 letters lang. so i decided to just buy the Pooh, kasi mas sulit.
so ayun, ang anak ko, tuwang-tuwa. super pa-good boy after we bought it, hahaha. and i was also happy coz i know it will help him with his spelling. di masyadong nakaka-guilty kasi educational naman eh.
kaya eto, balik Pooh na naman kami! =)
