| nanay tips |
last jan 7, after the chicken pox vaccine of my baby boy, we went to proj. 4 to get the package sent by my good friend (from US) mau to baby boy! and it included pooh items and cute clothes, yipee!!! after that, we had lunch at my bestfriend's house jing since i also gave her the gift of our other bestfriend bodj. chika-chika for awhile, but had to leave soon. joy, an officemate, is already calling me because they were already in greenhills and about to start the 'nanay tips'.
'nanay tips' is a get-together "mother-support group" organized by my e-group friends. it was held at their house in greenhills west.
we arrived there before 2pm. since we all brought our mats, babies and kids started crawling and playing on the floor. agawan ng toys, gapangan (pangit pakinggan! =), iyakan at tawanan. really a sight to see, they're all so cute!
it was also my 1st time to see anya, joy's daughter. we've been comparing notes here in the office eversince we've learned that we were pregnant. anya's edd was april 06, mine was april 05, but she gave birth on 04/08, me on 04/09. both on the dates we wanted, and both by c/s. haha, soulmates yata sila ng baby boy ko. =)
anyway, i think we were a total of 12 families. some of them were velvet, jen tan, joy, laura, rayz, sam, joanna, mia and the others, hehe. sorry i forgot!
to summarize, we were taught of baby massage, the main reason why i went there, the importance of breastmilk over formula milk, complimentary feeding and the role of fathers, my secondary reason, haha!
we had lots of fun while learning. and since they've mentioned and explained the benefits of breastmilk (compared w/ formula), i felt so happy and proud of myself that i am still purely breastfeeding my baby until now! oh really, the sacrifices you do for your baby! hope they'll learn to appreciate them later in life!
kaaliw din kasi dedma dun sa pagpapa-suso, hehe. even if i wasn't wearing a breastfeeding blouse, di ko na ginamit ung pantakip ko. a lot of us are breastfeeding kasi eh, kaya no need to be conscious, kasi normal scene na un dun.
wala nang titingin pa sayo dun na parang "ang bastos" ng ginagawa mo. oh well, you know how filipinos look and react to mothers nursing in public.
i was even asked by velvet to model while i was breastfeeding baby boy. she was discussing the different positions and she wanted a real model, kaya ayun, mega upo at higa ko while baby was attached to my breast and soundly sleeping. =)

baby boy was also asked by velvet to model the baby sling. they looked cute together, haha.
the session ended at 530pm. so we headed to sta lucia to hear the 6pm anticipated mass. my parents were there kaya sama-sama pa din kami nakapag-simba. after the mass, we took out some food, ang hooray sisig na pinaglalawayan naming mag-asawa sa sarap, haha.
it was a successful day, we've acomplished a lot. it built a little of my self-esteem and i know that i'm doing the right thing! =)

hi.i had a bad experience with sisig hooray kahapon lang. my friend and i were eating sisig there (robinson’s galleria) and we were so happy about how yummy it was.niyaya ko sha dun kasi nakakain ako dun once at natuwa ako sa chiken sisig.binida ko pa sa friend ko na mura dun pero okay talaga ung timpla.
we decided to order some rice pa kasi bitin ung almost half cup na ata na rice nila. my friend ordered two extra rice but nobody attended to it (there were four people there and one of them was not doing anything). after some time, mga after 3minutes, my friend repeated her order. and one of the guys told her, “ma’am sandali lang, mabibigyan naman kayo eh.”

when my friend got back to our table, mukang offended talaga sha kasi nafeel daw nya na pasimple daw na nangpahiya yung guy. so i said, don’t worry about it, let’s find na lang their contact details and send them some feedback about their crew.
continue na lang kami sa pagkain, i gave her my last bite of chicken sisig kasi i wanted her to try it since she ordered pork.
heto na.
she discreetly spat/spitted out a piece of “meat” and placed it on the styro plate. she said, “um..karton ba to?”
i couldnt tell at first kasi it was brown and a little flaky, so i decided to pick it up despite of her protests (it’s been in her mouth after all).
OMFG
it’s an effing piece of karton T__T
naubos ko na ung order, ang saya diba.
i took pictures using my phone and when i showed it to my coworkers this morning, they were so disgusted kasi it really looks like a piece of cooked flaky meat.
the busboy who was mopping the floor was intrigued with what we were doing so he was looking narin at the “meat”. i told him, “karton, manong. nakuha ko sa sisig.jan s sisig hooray. Grr.” mukang hindi pa sha maniniwala so i held it with my two hands and tore it. nanlaki ang mata nya nung nakita nya yung texture ng papel na pinupunit. pag-alis namin, he showed our plate to another busboy.
sabi nung friend ko, pag sinabi daw namin dun sa store, baka awayin lang kami at sabihin na we’re just trying to get back at them dahil napahiya yung friend ko sa remark nung rude guy.
pero ako ung nakakain nun noh, at malay ko ba kung nasa ibang sisig din nila yun. i can’t just let it go ng walang nasasabihan.
when i got home, about 40minutes nang nakalipas, i drank three glasses of water and stuck my index finger down my throat.
di na ko kakain dun T__T
